Electoral System:
- 
	The President is directly elected by universal adult suffrage for a term of five years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. The election is held in a two-round system, where if no candidate receives a majority of the vote, the top two candidates compete in a run-off. 
- 
	The Prime Minister is nominated by the President and elected by a simple majority of the National Assembly. 
- 
	The 90 members of the National Assembly are elected to a four-year term. 88 are elected by all citizens using proportional representation, while the other two are elected by voters registered as Hungarian or Italian. 
- 
	The 40 members of the National Council are elected to a five-year term. They are not elected by the people but appointed to represent interest groups. It consists of 22 representatives of local interests, 6 representatives of non-commercial activities, 4 representatives of employers, 4 of employees, 4 representatives of farmers, crafts, trades and independent professionals.
