Description of electoral system:
- In the Supreme Council (Žogorku Keňesh), 120 members are elected by proportional representation in a single nationwide constituency. According to the Electoral Law, no political party is allowed to be granted over 65 seats in the Supreme Council. To gain representation in Parliament, a party must receive at least 5% of votes among all eligible voters nationwide, and at least 0.5% of votes from all eligible voters in each oblast of Kyrgyzstan.
