The President is directly elected by absolute majority vote in up to two rounds. The President may serve up to two consecutive 5-year terms.

The Prime Minister is appointed by the President and serves a 4-year term.

All 81 members of the Senate are directly elected by absolute majority vote in up to two rounds. Members serve 6-year terms, and one-third of seats are up for election every 2 years.

All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies are directly elected by proportional representation vote, and lists must receive at least 5% of the vote to receive a seat. All members serve 4-year terms.
In the first round of the 2024 Senate election, ANO 2011 received 2 of 27 seats. The Social Democratic Party, KDU-CSL, and an independent candidate each won a seat. 22 seats were undecided and went to the second round. Voter turnout was 30%.
