- Assembly: The unicameral House of Representatives (Βουλή των Αντιπροσώπων / Vouli ton Antiprosopon) is comprised of 80 seats with 56 seats assigned to Greek Cypriots and 24 to Turkish Cypriots but only those assigned to Greek Cypriots are filled.

The president is directly elected by absolute majority vote through up to two rounds of voting for a 5-year term.
The last elections for the President of Cyprus were held in 2018. During the first round of voting, Nikos ANASTASIADIS won 33.51% of the vote and Stavros MALAS won 30.24% of the vote. During the second round of voting, Nikos ANASTASIADIS won the election with 55.99% of the vote. Both rounds had a 70% voter turnout.
